Stone cold little Monster man.
Sometimes I’ll drive by where he’s buried and I’ll think about him in the ground.
Wrapped in a blanket and a lot of tears.
But that’s not really where he is.
Little fucker went back up to the stars, then he got dispatched to help someone else, because of like, imagination.
There was one time, during a blizzard, the power was out in the little RV, and I had charged a portable battery backup.
We were in a sleeping bag, and I was watching some illegally downloaded movie on piece of shit laptop.
He was down in there, for warmth.
Lying on the belly, human and cat fused into one warm spaghetti noodle.
Middle of winter, the middle of the night, the middle of a blizzard…
He fuckin bolted, out of nowhere, just fucking sprung out of there, shocked me.
Then I saw it.
A little mouse, a little mouse right next to my fucking head. This is where I was sleeping. The RV of a barely friend’s brother, up on a mountain in Virginia.
I stopped the murder, got the mouse into my hands before Monster could finish the job, let him go by a nearby barn,, then I went back to the RV, opened a can of tuna to split with my guy.
