My Youtube algorithm started feeding me clips of the movie “Taxi Driver”

Classic flick, darrrk, believe it or not it’s not always my cup of tea. Not always into taking in the macabre ,

Raw,grimey, a little trip into the mind of madness.

Some isolated guy, living a nothing life, watching the world around him and hating every bit of it.

Great performance, holy hell, what great writing and acting. Not exactly an uplifting film, but still the execution was stellar.

Not a flick I relate to, and I imagine an algorithm is subject to manipulation, but I gotta wonder why. Why would my nonsense menu become flooded with a movie? Trying to tell me something?

I like how the movie is done, I kinda like how you start seeing it through his perspective. World seems pretty nasty, for sure, look around and you get it.

And if you do?

I’m certain that a gun is not the answer.

In fiction it works, it’s compelling.

In real life it’s not like that.

You’re supposed to look at horrible things in the world and just go on about your business.. thems the rules.

Take your pick, let your eye land on some terrible part of our existence , homeless,prostitutes, addicts, scammers and swindlers, cult leaders, mega church organizations , a woman’s right to choose outlawed, war, economics,, blah blah blah blah,

Take a look at any of it and you might think it sucks,

Because it does.

But it’s awesome at the same time.

You don’t need to work night shifts driving a taxi to reach that enlightenment, you can do it with a blog.

I can say it a billion times, but it doesn’t matter..

Typing is different.

It’s a place to let loose and do whatever.

Real life is not like that.

That’s not how things play out, that degree of crazy isn’t even on the radar. Fiction is fiction. Writing things down is only that, it’s only writing things down. People have feelings and nonsense to say and nowhere to say it.
