I just never could get into maple fretboards, they felt slippery. So you can move faster but you can’t really apply the effort to the bends.
They look cool, I love people that can play them. Just not for me. Rosewood all day. And when you change your strings, it’s best to take a fresh lemon and cut it in half, rub the juice up and down the fretboard.
Not only does it act as a fantastic cleaning agent, it actually treats the wood so you keep that nice dark grain.
Bend the f*** out of those strings, easier on rosewood, humble opinion.
