It’s a small scale of the large scale, just an example of a guy manipulating that story for his own gain, the acquisition of power. Preachers do that every single Sunday, for money. Whores, crooked mother fuckers…but also, a few good people with genuine good intention.
Complicated. The need for a human to feel ‘purpose’ is a complicated topic that I’m not going to solve. Jonestown was scary though, actual horror. Actual destruction within the depths of the human mind.
