Realistically, no one would sign up voluntarily.
Not for sterilization.
If the goal is to thin all the numbers, you’d probably have to do it at once.
In my current daydream, just thinking through this,,
We’ve decided that the population needs to be reduced to 100 million, we need every person on the planet to stop reproducing for around 60 years,,
How do we get there?
You could gas the atmosphere?
Figure out a way to deploy an airborne bacteria with a hyper specific purpose.
And only in humans.
So, the bacteria completely halts everyone’s ability to reproduce for 60 years.
Except the best people, who we determine through a battery of tests,
And we have AI scan each node of DNA, and we correct the flaws.
So we’re down to 100 million genetically superior individuals.
And just for the fuck of it, put 1 million crazy people on an isolated island.
Looking at you Australia.
Fast forward ,I don’t know, 200 years?
Everything’s fixed.
Plenty of resources.
Way less assholes walking around…
Done…
Yeah… No one would sign up for that.
You need incentive.
How about, the generations that volunteered for sterilization, are treated like kings and queens for their remaining time on earth?
The The older generations completely pampered and took care of the first generation to volunteer for sterilization.
We take care of them.
Keep them very entertained.
Keep them housed, keep them well fed, give them all the benefits ,as our way of showing appreciation for their sacrifice.
(still doesn’t work)
Yeah… The bitch of it is,, it fixes everything.
It’s not that I hate children, nor the concept of a healthy nuclear family..
It’s just that it fixes everything.
That’s why that thought is addictive .
It’s a real fuckin ugly rabbit hole.
And I’m at the point where I realize I have to let it go.
Got to yield on that one.
It’s a super unhealthy way to think.
Don’t do it…
(still fixes everything)
Nope, doesn’t matter.
