The epitome of some ” good guy/bad guy” shit. Tolkien if he was handicapped by a religious publisher . Big money in that shit, “christian entertainment”.
Two things…
It could be a parent ,not wanting to expose children to the ugly fuck-all of the world.
Or it could be a parenting choice of fear. Afraid that if you let the little bastard know what’s really going on out there, it might not be able to take it.
This next generation is going to make for some interesting adults. All the everything. all the insults,all the opinion, all the porn, all the stimulation.. right in their pockets.
maybe they’ll adapt, become resilient as fuck.. maybe they’ll get bored with everything because they’ve seen everything.
