There was a builder named Jerry Lambert, and nobody wanted to do work with this guy. The problem was, millions hung in the balance.

A quickly realized, oh this old man is super racist. Really dislikes Hispanics, as a construction supervisor, that’s most of who he dealt with day in and day out.
He was a spitting image of my grandfather, we clicked immediately and he sent praise to my employer for my work.
It opened the door to millions of dollars worth of business.
I think I won him over by pretending to be racist too, which actually might make me worse.
I felt like there’s a time and a place, and I didn’t talk direct s*** but I also understood that at his age, there would be no changing his mind.
So I just didn’t speak up,
I acted like his comments and jokes were just fine.
And honestly, past all that I believe he’s a good person, but not in that department.
