School shooters would be much more dangerous if they understood how access control systems operated.

There’s two types

Fail safe and fail secure.

Meaning, life safety systems are tied into the door’s locking systems. Someone hits a fire alarm,the managed doors will either lock or unlock, you can tell which by looking at them.

Then again,if mass shooters had foresight,they probably wouldn’t do that in the first place.
