It’s getting cold in the mornings, mild frost and brisk during the sunrise.

There’s a comfortable bench outside of the place I work, and when I showed up today,,
There’s a dude out there.
The office ladies start pulling into their precious parking spaces and upon entering the building, they immediately start gossiping about this guy.
I clocked him immediately.
I don’t know why he was at that bench, but I know he needed a quiet and comfortable spot.
Spent the night outdoors.
I had a thought.
I keep the dope shit coffee, K-cups, gourmet shit, destroying the ocean one cup at a time
(I bet he’d like a hot coffee )
You bet your ass he would.
So the office ladies are up front, chattering about this poor fuck,, this middle aged, life mistaken motherfucker.
I walk out with a coffee and a couple of cigs for him.
They looked at me…like I was out of my fucking mind.
Looked at me like I was insane..
But here’s the thing…
The silly silly thing.
I’m the only atheist in this building.

Their God, their Sunday and Wednesday night ritual,,
