These true crime podcasts,
The real ones not the yuck yuck ones..
It’s weird.
Dig it for the justice and the trial, the apprehension, the looking in on a fucked up picture, but…it sells.
And because it sells, the presenter tends to “fetishize” just how bad these mother fuckers are.
Sensationalism on a sensational and bizarre micro demographic of monkeys.
Yo.
8 billion.
8 billion people.
When you’re fucking around with those kinds of numbers,,, you’ll have screwballs.
You just will.
That is only math and it’s only ever been math.
You can try to dig into the why,but at the end of it?
There’s 8 billion people.
8 billion specific colors and 8 billion specific angles. 8 billion psychologies,8 billion backstories.
Then there’s money.
And you can get money by scoping out the weird ones, the statistically improbable.
Which ,in turn, likely motivates wannabes. Because that’s a segment too.
People really wanna be something.
Seems like they want to be known and be heard and be remembered.
So it’s natural?
The monsters aren’t, but the way we sell the inspection of monsters makes business sense.
Soooo.
Entertainment.
You’ll watch the fucked up stuff for entertainment, which will perpetuate the fucked up stuff.
Because we’re clowns.
Weird 🤔
I still dig justice ♎
On the individual level.
I’m also fascinated by madness, and not that poser madness, and not the malicious madness,,,,
The madness of self, the crumbling of structure, the abandonment of the normal.
It’s an interesting topic.
Not something you’d want to be.
Something that is interesting to think about.
