You’d have to be willing to let it leap ahead of what we’re capable of. You’d have to let it create a problem that we were beyond repairing.

maybe eggs and sperm. freeze them shits and trust our robot buddies to restart the machine after we were gone. Let it play love-connection with the petri dishes. Pick the compatible matches and bring them to life when the remaining humans were about 60.. Think of the stories the dying generation would want to impart, you’d have the only moment of species-wide self reflection in our sorted history.
