Today I was required to sit in on a Zoom meeting, for technical purposes, with a gaggle of locals… backy chewin, shit-kickin’ stereotypes of the South.

That’s me, that’s what I am too.

These dude’s starting going on about 2nd amendment. “if I go there, I’m taking my gun”,,,” I’m getting a new glock this weekend, I’ll absolutely carry it on the job “.

I sit there with my microphone muted,,,,

I actually don’t have a problem with people carrying, but it’s always the same type of person, and it’s all the fuck they want to talk about. This shit is real. I’m not making it up.

They really think that “they” are coming for their guns. They’re like, super worried about it. Very worried, and maybe they should be. A petty part of this cracker wishes the government would take away their guns, just so I could watch them cry like the babies that they are..

I’ve been worse places, I promise.

I’ve been around shadier characters than the strangers you grip your pistol for. Absolutely.

What keeps you safe? well, don’t walk in fear, for starters. Keep your eyes up. Catch eye contact with anyone approaching the table, soak in their presence before they even reach the table. You’ll be fine.
