I bet I could design and build my own stereo switching system..
It would take a lot of thought, getting it to true bypass etc.
High quality metals for the points of connection,
I found a lot of good options but they’re all Mono.
A true stereo option starts at about 1500. Which is crazy, but it’s also necessary if I want to build the Excalibur Pedal board.
In 1500 is just for the switcher.
It doesn’t even include the physical build, which I’m thinking aluminum slats, aluminum is a pretty soft metal. I could borrow a chop saw, and I do have a grinding wheel.
But yeah, lightweight, durable, seems like a good option.
The switcher though….
I got too many f****** pedals.
You can only fit so many on a board.
Then there is space and cable management to think about, clock sink, you would definitely have to do custom make all of your cables to keep it from being a bowl of spaghetti.
