I found out half the people in my job are starting their own company in January, which means the place is going to be a s*** show. Don’t know.

My mind goes to Detroit in the ’50s and ’60s.
So a guy, (or gal) could work a job on an assembly line.
And with that job you could afford
A home, a spouse, a kid and it’s college.
(retirement?)
I’m sure it wasn’t a dream job, assembling cars…but you didn’t have to fuck with the world.
You could hang on to your slice just by showing up everyday.
Things are still like that, But the bar is perpetually raised.
When we were kids, 40,000 was the number.
If you could make $40,000, you could have the world on an oyster, however that saying goes..
But the game of Life done changed….
It’s not enough to go to work, it’s not enough to give loyalty, it’s not enough to care,

Unless you live it.
That’s what it feels like.
And I’ve got a mortgage and a habit to pay, an addiction to toys, gas and food…
