It felt good to hit em with the eyeballs.
After a half-hour interview, and all this yapping…
When they tried to hit you with a low number..
Just a half smile and a simple sentence.
“It was very nice meeting you, but I’m not trying to walk backwards”
Say it like a dick, say it like a gentleman,
Doesn’t matter.
See, they will always try to get you for a lower number, it’s just a symptom of the game, there’s a power struggle before you even pledge loyalty.
“You should be so lucky, to make this amount”
No sir, my resume is strong as fuck, I’ll kill your whole family, have a good day.
Every time, every single time, they came back with a counter-offer.
And that’s the game.
All in the mind.
What is doesn’t matter, it’s what’s presented.
Been around long enough to know how this works.
You don’t have to know them, don’t have to know who or how a person is,
Just have to know how the game goes.
You walk in with that understanding, and it’s a whole different scenario.
Confidence.
Real or fake, doesn’t matter, all that matters is how you behave.

Sometimes I’d let them talk themselves in circles, just sit back, act like you’re taking it all in.
When you go to interview, make sure to notice how current employees behave.
Clock their attitude.
Log the vibe.
If you’re good, it’ll tell you all you need to know.

Ultimately and at the end of the day, flying at 30,000 feet..

That’s not how this works.
What you can do, is blend into the background. Take steps to make sure no one notices you, and you’re just a good little worker bee.
They don’t have to know what happens in your head.
I’ll skip ALL the personal talk.
Leave it at the diary, where it belongs.
Up in the game, nobody cares.
They don’t need to know anything about how you feel.
They just need to know that you can.
You don’t even have to care, not in the real sense, you just have to show that you’re capable..
And that’s how you drop nuts in an interview.
Remember that they need you more than you need then.
Because you’re a chameleon, and you can blend into any situation.
