I get jealous when I read about monks.
They don’t have to talk to anyone, ever. Just eat rice and sit in the lotus.Busy yourself with Temple chores,drink water.

no limit to it and no noise coming in from the outside. Fuckin jealous of monks. Wish that was more popular in America, a possible life path. But we be too polar. Gottta tie it to a deity so a regular person wants to give money to said deity, thus adulterering the entire thing.

A silent meditation retreat costs a few thousand bucks. You pay to go somewhere and just shut the fuck up. Pay, to shut up. Contribute money, just to pause this thing we do. Something really strange about that.
I’m really interested in a monk’s life, he’s got no stories, and it might be better than having stories. He gets to think.
