Man..this story I was listening to today.
The 1920’s, one particularly bad person..
A product of brutal authority, since he was a child..
The powers that be, they punished this guy, more and more and more.
And he just got worse.
Robbed ,raped, killed.
Assaulted a warden, fought everyone..
Then the prison got a new warden..
And this guy, this guy came up with a plan.
He said “Carl, I’m going to let you out of here every morning, and I want you to return at dinner”
So he did it.
He walked this monster to the gate,and let him out.
When Carl came back in the evening,he asked him “why didn’t you split?”
Carl thought for a moment and answered
“I don’t know”
He wasn’t used to kindness.
It fucked him up.
He was that broken.
Really interesting story.
They ended up hanging the guy, and when the hangmen asked him if he had any last words,,, he started talking about how bad the hangmen was at his job.
He started yapping about how he could have hanged 3 people in the time it took him to prep 1..
Which is pretty fuckin gangsta.. If you think about it .
Knocking at death’s door, taking shit about the door .
