Stuxnet pt2

$content = [

I think the most interesting part of the Stuxnet story isn’t how epic that computer virus is, it’s the method of deployment.

Iran’s nuclear facilities were what’s called “stand-alone”. No internet connection,no communication with the outside world, a Closed LAN (local area network) The only safe way to conduct such a sensitive operation.

How then?

How could we devise a way to infiltrate a closed network?

Human predictability.

Operatives dropped USB keychains with the virus hiding in them . At some point a human picked one up, and inserted it into a computer..just to see what was on it.

Curiosity. A stealthy government operation hinged on human curiosity, and it worked.

Some employee, finding a high-dollar flash drive keychain..had to know what was on it.

It’s almost as impressive as the cyber-warfare. The psych-warfare.

You can’t outhink those mother-fuckers. No Sir.
