I just had a conversation with my boss (who is my friend) and 3 coworkers.
45 minutes,
This conversation went on for 45 minutes, israel, palestine, conspiracy theory, capitalism, conspiracy more conspiracy more conspiracy more conspiracy, gun ownership and the importance of it, the hopelessness of america, forest borders, drug addiction, self-involved politics, US versus the world, absolute fear of immigrants. Super real fear of immigrants.
I walked away with sweaty palms and I will not be driven by fear. I will not I will not I will not I will not I will not I will not I will not I will not I will not.
Talking about Chinese and lasers setting Hawaii on fire, talking about terrorist cells slipping through the open borders, talking about Mass manipulation, talking about economic stranglehold, talking about the book of Revelations.
I walked away feeling very pessimistic, and that’s coming from me and that’s a huge bummer and I don’t want to engage in conversations like that, maybe that’s not quite right. Maybe it’s very uncomfortable to look at the macro, and you should be careful when you do that because it’s easy to get carried away.
Something I’ve learned about working inside.. let people be lame as fuck, you don’t have to agree or pretend like you do, just let them talk. Let em be lame.
