But it’s all rhyme.
So poetry first, attaching the rhymes to beat later,
I went down a rabbit hole once of trying to learn and understand why human beings enjoy rhyme.
It’s patterns.
Basically the brain likes patterns. That’s why architecture is the way that it is, circuit boards and the symmetry of them,right angles and synchronicity,patterns and pattern recognition.
I don’t think patterns are as typical in space ,,the larger out you zoom. Seems like gravity is the only constant.
Maybe patterns are things that life forms can only realize and experiment with on the small level. Math, playing with math.
Maybe patterns are our redeeming quality,
A little creature, stranded on a rock, writing out math in the sand.
Maybe the only way you get to the outer universe is from exploring the inner universe, zooming in before you can zoom out.
And maybe that’s why music works. Tension and release, dissonance and resolve, driving beat or mellow bounce,
There’s a whole universe in there.
You could play only blues (3 chords), and you’d have a lifetime of music within those three chords.
Seems like patterns are important,
