Music created by nerds to be taken in by nerds while they avoid life and play a video game.
That’s incorrect,it’s inaccurate.
Where then? Where do you put intelligent compositions and creations?
There’s no audience for “smarter” music, nobody gives a fuck about interesting construction. We only want hooks and catchy beats in 4/4. Not to say it’s “dumb”,,well yes.. it is dumb. The collective group prefers dumb , because you don’t have to think about it.
Just a product you can turn on, let it ride through your ears. No thought required,no observation.
I like it too sometimes,the dumb builds,the dumb music.
But you can’t mock some of those video game composers, particularly Nobuo Uematsu.
At least his work reached people, at least it landed on open ears.
