When I saw Tool,I just stared at the sound guy, because he was so fucking good.
The balance was unbelievable.
Perfect lows, crisp highs, the punch in the sternum..
The vocals cut right through and were crystal..
I realized.
“that guy is at work right now”
He’s at his job.
Performing such a mystical feet..
Mixing is an art, and you’re the artist playing the artists.
The entire band is your instruments..
And nobody knows you.
Gah.
He was really fucking good at his job .
